Ceiling fans look like a simple job. Most aren't. Half the fans we replace were installed without proper ceiling bracing, wobbling within months and pulling at the plasterboard. Plenty more were sized on price or looks rather than the room they were going into. Too small for the space and the airflow is useless. Too large for a bedroom and it's overpowering and noisy. A bad fan install is the kind of thing you live with every day.

We do it properly. Every job starts with a check of the existing wiring and ceiling structure. We install fan-rated bracing where it doesn't already exist, mount the fan to the brace (not the plasterboard), connect the wiring, and balance and test the fan before we leave. We set up the wall control or remote, walk you through the modes, and clean up after ourselves. Most fans are done in one to two hours.

Every ceiling fan job includes a complimentary electrical safety audit valued at $240. We check your switchboard, circuits, and safety switches while we're there, so you know where your home stands.

What We Cover

New Ceiling Fan Installation
Full installation from supply through to testing. We install fan-rated bracing in the ceiling, mount and wire the fan, balance the blades, and set up the control system. Most fans are done in one to two hours including cleanup.
Light to Fan/Light Conversion
Swapping an existing light fitting for a ceiling fan or fan/light combo. We check the existing wiring is suitable, install proper fan-rated support (the old light brace usually isn't strong enough), and wire the fan with separate controls for the light and fan functions. Apartments with concrete ceilings need closer assessment but are still possible in most cases.
DC Ceiling Fan Upgrade
DC fans are the modern standard. Much more energy efficient than older AC fans, quieter at low speeds, with more speed settings and remote control as standard. If you're replacing a fan that's more than five years old, the upgrade pays for itself in running costs over the lifespan of the fan.
Outdoor and Alfresco Fans
Outdoor-rated fans for patios, alfresco areas, and undercover entertaining spaces. Standard indoor fans aren't built for the moisture and salt air around Perth coastal properties. We install outdoor-rated units with weather-sealed connections, properly secured to the structure above.
Wall Controls and Remote Systems
Most modern fans come with remote control as standard, with the existing wall switch handling power. Wall controls are still an option if you prefer a fixed switch setup, but they need additional wiring. We walk you through both options when we quote and set up whichever suits your space.
